Which cities or states will Heyo expand to next?

Which cities or states will Heyo expand to next?

⚡Quick answer -

Heyo will extend coverage beyond Delhi-NCR into six additional business zones—Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata—by the end of this year, following a zone-by-zone rollout strategy focused on India’s SME hubs.

1. Current coverage

• Delhi-NCR (Delhi, Noida, Gurugram and adjoining areas)

2. Expansion roadmap: how we pick the next zone

Decision factor

How it influences the roadmap

SME concentration

Priority to states with the most SMEs (UP, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka)

Existing DID infrastructure

Faster rollout where Heyo already has backbone connectivity

Market compatibility

Lower language/cultural barriers first (Hindi & English already supported)

Competitive landscape

Enter markets that are underserved by similar apps

Local partnerships

Favour regions with strong partner tie-ups for faster shared growth

3. Confirmed zones for this year

Target zone

Major city code

Reason selected

Bengaluru

080

High SME density, tech adoption

Mumbai

022

Financial hub, existing infra

Ahmedabad

079

Rapidly growing SME market

Hyderabad

040

Strong partner ecosystem

Chennai

044

High SME count, language fit

Kolkata

033

Large untapped SME base

Users in these zones will be able to choose local DIDs once rollout is live.

4. When will Heyo NOT expand to my city?

Heyo follows a phased, SME-density-first model. If your city has low SME concentration, limited telecom infrastructure, or no local partners, it is unlikely to be in the near-term roadmap. You can still sign up with an available zone DID (e.g., Delhi) while waiting for local coverage.

5. What if I need a local number sooner?

You can:

  1. Sign up now with an available zone DID (e.g., Delhi 011) to start using Heyo.
  2. Switch to a local DID later; note that switching creates a new account and does not migrate historical data.
