How can I receive an OTP by call, bypass OTP for 24 hours, or fix slow OTP verification in MyOperator?

How can I receive an OTP by call, bypass OTP for 24 hours, or fix slow OTP verification in MyOperator?

⚡Quick answer -

• Yes—after you click Forgot password and enter your registered mobile number, MyOperator sends an SMS OTP first; 30 seconds later, a “Receive OTP via call” link appears.

• In edge cases (password reset loops, OTP or password attempt limits reached), Support can disable OTP for 24 hours—but only after getting an explicit consent email from the account owner.

• If an OTP takes longer than 10 minutes to arrive, refresh the page and use the manual OTP retrieval method instead of keeping the browser window open indefinitely.

When should I use this guide?

Use these steps if you or your customer:

• Prefer a voice call over SMS for password-reset OTPs.

• Temporarily need to bypass OTP login—for example, the user has hit the OTP limit or exceeded password attempts.

• Are waiting more than 10 minutes for an OTP and want to know the next action.

1. Prerequisites

• You have the “Forgot password” screen open on the MyOperator panel.

• The mobile number entered is the one registered with the MyOperator account.

• You have access to email in case a temporary OTP bypass is required.

2. Receive an OTP via call

  1. Click Forgot password on the MyOperator login page.
  2. Enter your registered mobile number and click Submit.
  3. Wait for the initial SMS OTP to arrive (sent instantly).
  4. After 30 seconds, click Receive OTP via call.
  5. Answer the automated call and note the 6-digit OTP read aloud.
  6. Enter the OTP in the field provided and click Verify. Expected result: The password-reset screen opens.

3. Temporarily bypass OTP login (24 h)

Only Support can activate a bypass. The client must:

  1. Send an email from the registered admin address stating: “I consent to disabling OTP login for 24 hours on account <account-ID>.”
  2. Support confirms the scenario qualifies (password reset loop, OTP limit reached, or password attempt limit exceeded).
  3. Support enables the bypass; it automatically expires after 24 hours. Expected result: The next login prompts only for username and password.

4. Fix OTP delays longer than 10 minutes

If no OTP (SMS or call) is received within 10 minutes:

  1. Refresh the browser page.
  2. Repeat the OTP request.
  3. If the issue persists, switch to the manual OTP retrieval method (Contact Support). Do NOT keep the original window open for 30 minutes or more.

5. Limitations & when this will NOT work

• The “Receive OTP via call” link appears only after 30 seconds; clicking earlier does nothing.

• A user who has exhausted daily OTP request limits may need Support to enable a 24-hour bypass.

• The bypass is valid for exactly 24 hours; after that, OTP login is enforced again.
