1. What is a BAN?

BAN: BAN stands for Business Account Number. It is a unique identification number assigned to a business account within MyOperator. The BAN does not change throughout the customer lifecycle and helps the MyOperator team quickly identify the customer and look into account details or issues.




2. Three types of BAN

There are 3 types of BANs, i.e. normal BAN, corporate BAN & child BAN.




3. Corporate BAN (Master BAN)

Corporate BAN: A Corporate BAN (Business Account Number) refers to the process of clubbing together multiple Service Numbers under a single BAN, also known as the Master BAN.

The advantage of having a Corporate BAN is that it allows the customer to receive a single invoice for all the Service Numbers being used under that Corporate BAN.




4. Child BAN

Child BAN: A Child BAN (Business Account Number) refers to the individual service numbers that are associated with a Master BAN (Corporate BAN).

In a pooling account structure, the Master BAN is used to group multiple Child BANs together. Each Child BAN represents a separate service number that operates under the umbrella of the Master BAN.
