⚡ Quick answer -
• Outgoing caller-ID: the outgoing DID is always different from the incoming one—book it separately.
• Callbacks: the callback feature works on every outgoing DID, and each of those DIDs can also accept incoming calls.
• Adding DIDs: any plan lets you add more DIDs for voice or WhatsApp; if you want a unique DID per user, create separate panels.
• WhatsApp: a dedicated (fixed) DID can be voice-verified and used for WhatsApp Business.
• Limits: up to 25 outgoing DIDs per panel; DIDs cannot be assigned on a per-user basis.
• Multi-DID callbacks: you can enable callbacks on all DIDs you’ve added.
When should I use this guide?
Use it when you need one place to learn every day-to-day task involving multiple DIDs: booking separate outgoing DIDs, adding extra DIDs for WhatsApp, configuring callbacks, or understanding user-level assignment limits.
Overview
Outgoing DID will be different … Call back feature on outgoing DIDs will work as it is and can also be used as an incoming number, just like in a corporate line plan.
Incoming vs outgoing DID behaviour
Outgoing DID will be different, and the process for booking the outgoing DID will be the same.
Add new DIDs (any plan)
Yes, we have the provision to add a new DID in any of the plans as per the requirements, and they can use it for calling and WhatsApp purposes. If anyone requires a dedicated DID for every user, then they have to create a separate panel for the users.
WhatsApp registration on a Fixed DID
- Yes, it is possible to register on WhatsApp via Fixed DID. WhatsApp & any other platform that provides an on-call OTP option for verification can also be registered on DIDs.
- WhatsApp should be registered as a business account with the service number (DID).
- Allow the DID to accept the incoming call on the DID.
- Do not add any IVR in the incoming call.
- Add one user with the DID to receive OTP-related calls.
Note – OTPs on DID can not be received on SMS, hence you should receive the same through the calls directly. The DID that the client is using from MyOperator must be the dedicated DID.
Callbacks on multiple DIDs
Yes, it is possible to receive a callback on all the DIDs.
Steps:
- Log in to the MyOperator panel > call > outgoing > click to call > purchased number and select the primary DID.
- Login to the MyOperator panel > call > outgoing > campaign> create a new campaign > settings > DID settings > add remaining DIDs here.
Note – “Make sure the callback feature is enabled.”
Limits & edge cases
- 25-DID cap per panel for outgoing calls (quote above).
- Shared DIDs cannot be used for WhatsApp OTPs (quote above).
