Can I port my Heyo Virtual Number to another carrier or to a physical SIM card?

Can I port my Heyo Virtual Number to another carrier or to a physical SIM card?

⚡Quick answer -

No. Heyo Virtual Numbers are cloud-based landline numbers that work only inside the Heyo platform. They cannot be moved to a mobile SIM or to any external telecommunications provider.

Why is porting out not possible

• Different service type: Heyo numbers are classified as virtual landline numbers, not mobile numbers, and follow a separate technical and regulatory framework.

• Heyo-platform specific: Each number is deeply integrated with Heyo’s cloud telephony system (advanced call routing, voicemail, WhatsApp, IVR, etc.). External networks cannot replicate this setup.

What you can—and cannot—do with your number

Scenario / Action

Possible?

Details

Port number to a physical SIM card

❌ No

Not designed for SIM integration

Transfer to another traditional telecom provider

❌ No

Incompatible with PSTN carrier routing

Keep using the number inside Heyo

✅ Yes

Works as long as your subscription stays active

✅ Yes

Manage everything from the Heyo app

What happens if I cancel my Heyo subscription?

  1. The virtual number is deactivated once your final billing cycle ends.
  2. Because port-out is unsupported, the number cannot be transferred to another provider or SIM.
  3. You lose access to all Heyo call-handling features tied to that number.

When does porting ever work?

It never works. Port-out fails in every scenario because the number’s cloud routing logic cannot be hosted by external networks.
