⚡Quick answer
Yes. You can personalise your Heyo Virtual Number by selecting one of the available prefixes (011, 022, 033, or 080). The remaining digits are assigned automatically to ensure the number is unique and ready to use.
What is a prefix?
A prefix is the first part of a virtual number—similar to an STD/area code—that indicates the geographic region or service type. Example: 022 shows the number is associated with Mumbai, while 033 points to Kolkata.
Available prefixes (current list)
Prefix | City / Region |
011 | Delhi |
022 | Mumbai |
033 | Kolkata |
080 | Bengaluru |
Note: Only the prefixes above are presently available.
Step-by-step: How to select your virtual number prefix
- Download or open the Heyo app from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
- Tap Get a Business Number.
- Enter your mobile number and verify it with the OTP sent to you.
- Choose the KYC path to open the online form.
- In the prefix drop-down list, tap your preferred option (011, 022, 033, or 080).
- Confirm your choice. A second OTP is sent for security—enter it to finish.
- The system instantly assigns a full virtual number that begins with the prefix you selected.
Result: Your new Heyo Virtual Number appears on-screen and is ready to use inside the Heyo app.
What happens after you choose the prefix?
• The system autogenerates the remaining digits to guarantee the number is unique and active.
• Only the prefix is user-selectable; the other digits cannot be modified later.
When can’t I choose a specific number?
• You cannot hand-pick the entire number—only the prefix.
• Digits beyond the prefix are randomised; they can’t be rearranged or reserved.
• If you require a vanity or “golden” number, contact support (see below) for options via our parent brand MyOperator.
Important considerations
• Prefix availability may change; options shown in the app are always up-to-date.
• Selecting a prefix does not affect pricing or feature availability.
• All Heyo features (call forwarding, WhatsApp, IVR, voicemail, etc.) work the same regardless of prefix.
